Meyer's parrot, also known as the brown parrot, is a species of parrot indigenous to Africa. These birds possess grey plumage, a turquoise abdomen, a blue tail, and vibrant yellow markings on their wing joints. According to Forshaw's (1989) classification, there are six subspecies of P. meyeri, distinguished by their territory, size, and markings, such as the amount of yellow on the head and wings and the intensity of turquoise on the abdomen and tail.
