Blue Finch

The species known as the blue finch, or yellow-billed blue finch, is a small bird found in Brazil and northeastern Bolivia. Despite its previous classification in the bunting or cardinal families, recent molecular studies have placed it in the Thraupini tribe within the Thraupidae family. This bird typically inhabits dry savannas, but is becoming increasingly endangered due to loss of its natural habitat.
