Gamble Quail

Gamble Quail, also known as Callipepla gambelii, stand out with their unique features like top knots and scaly plumage. Male quails have a distinctive appearance with bluish-gray plumage, copper feathers atop their heads, and black faces with white stripes above their eyes. Ranging from 11-14 inches in length and with a wingspan of 14–16 inches, these birds have short, rounded wings and long, featherless legs. They primarily feed on plant matter and seeds.
